CEDENO Northwest Opened fourth phase emergency relief to cattle farmers
The Northwest livestock Development Fund boast livestock breeders in the region in her fourth phase emergency project
fund to enhance sustainable food production in the Region. Over 500 individuals from across the region answered present at the CDENO head office in Bamenda, the regional head quarter of the Northwest, this Thursday 6th, 2025. A rotted program that is being sponsored by the Government of Cameroon and her development partners is one of the most anticipated by civil society and most communities seen as action to alleviate poverty through continues production and multiplication of these animals. This will combat eventual future food crisis in the country given the effect of climate change that is forcing many families to migrate to other community.
Seen as, continuation of the project CDEO and her partners were in the same venue in 2024 handed over 600 poultry, 300 pig and 150 fish farmers benefited from this gesture under the emergency relief fund, to boast food production and sustainable food sufficiency in the country. This fourth phase has witnessed individual farmers taking home 5 sheep goats and two bags of feed amongst others. They are expected to multiply their animals and provide for their families and community without dependency.
Speaking to Journalists, the Director of CDENO told pressmen of the importance the state holds to the population of the region, most especially those affected by the crisis and the need to improve and fight poverty through this emergency relief fund.
