LISAC, the embodiment of hope!

Economic opportunities amongst youths and most especially women and girls are too limited under government policy in Cameroon.

This is echoed by the fact that most African governments and political leaders remain adamant to change and to the plight of women and girls. This worry has been expressed by international human rights groups and charities that suffer from the state bottleneck in their quest to execute economic activities in the country. Many have not been granted full access to run programs for the benefit of local communities as a result of these state lapses. Most often they tax projects meant for vulnerable members of the community.

Nevertheless, this explains why, Leadership Improvement and Social Advocacy Centre, (LISAC) –Cameroon an indigenous charity organization has step up to respond to these problems of abject poverty, unemployment and gender barriers amongst some women and girls in the region. LISAC lunching the open door project-rescue our women and girls with sponsors from Melania-Holland is overseeing that some of these displaced women and girls benefit as group of women under an umbrella. They will carry out group poultry farming, mushrooms cultivation to raise their economic position and become self reliance, resilience to poverty and help them contribute to their family and community. The organization has equally raised awareness within communities of its Vocational Training Centre for young women and girls most especially to enhance their economic status in their community.

It is expected that, through this vocational training Centre, hope will be rekindled and opportunities created; where these young women and girls will receive skilled training and gain employment thereafter. They will be able to earn income that could sustain them and their families.

The organization has already carried out all needed feasibility studies within communities and women’s groups in the region and other parts of the country. They now run remedial classes for school dropout women and girls most especially. This will thus build in them the learning process and sure enable them be able to acquire skills without much difficulties. The organization is open and most concerned willingness to partner with organizations and groups with similar visions to join hands and rescue our vulnerable women and girls. Most of them are caught in the trap of moving through high seas to Europe and other nations.

We pray for success and growth as you give hope to our young women and girls in Cameroon. Welcome to LISAC-Cameroon. Click to see- www.lisacgroupe.org by Tata Pual
