Meta-Mankon Reactivate Diplomatic Ties, T.T Tabi Teghenicha X and Angwafor IV Fru Asaah .
Some 25 traditional rulers and special envoys from the 32 villages that make up the Meta clan in the Momo Division over the weekend reaffirmed their deplomatic communion, communication and socio-economic romance with the mankon Kingdom. This entente was arrived at on Saturday April 22nd of April 2023 at the Mankon palace between HRH. T.T TABI TEGHENICHA X and Angwafor IV Fru Asaah as clan heads.
The Meta clan and the Mankon Kingdom share the same migratory wave length as well as land limits of very many kilometers. Unfortunately the two have never been able to establish a fruitful coexistence. It is on the backdrop of this that the Fon of Zang-Tabi village, which is the nucleus of the Meta people decided relations with their neighbor, must be resuscitated.
"The two fons have thus set what I can say is an android era. The tension around us should go away. We should share all we have and rapidly discard our differences" . Pa Teghen a notable from Tudig said.
Speaking through their spokes person, Nfumfor Barrister Ndangoh Tah Kelvin., Fon Teghenicha X said they were coming to greet the efforts and life of Fon Angwafo lll who travelled a couple of months ago as well as formalise his return through FO Fru Asaah Angwafor IV in the typical Meta dance and cultural display.
Boundary issues between the two people also came under unscrupulous consideration to ease sckemishes that perturbed their time honoured coexistence. To him the meeting was a new window for the old to fly out so that the doors could open for fresh actions and concerns for the people.
He underscored the fact that the Meta and the Mankon Kingdom share much in common as said above. Nevertheless the two have never had closed up to enhance actions that could fortify the both communities economically, culturally and socially. "The utmost desire of Fon Teghenicha X in the days ahead should be the realisation of these dreams given the seeds have already been sown” Nfumfor Barrister Ndangoh Tah Kelvin.said.
It should be noted that the common ancient anchor could smooth the new wave of their deplomatic communion. This can be tracked and traced from the history of the people. Three of the sons of Tawidikum namely Ata Dekondoh later called Takondoh. He was the mentor of the mankon Kingdom and moved them . His brother Ata Teboh moved the moghamo people and Ata Teghenicha, the Meta people. They together formed a solid group and moved from Widikum and settled at Tadkon. Ata Dekondoh later moved to Alanki in mankon. Reason why the shrines there are the bed rock of the Ngemba people.
